Energy solution for a fuel station and EV charging
Why CARPORTbusiness and what it can do
- It is a shelter — you can take cover underneath it.
- Photovoltaic panels on the shelter generate electricity.
- Electricity from the PV panels is stored in the battery.
- The system can also store energy from the grid into the battery when the SPOT price falls below a user-defined threshold.
- It charges EVs in AC mode up to 22 kW and accepts payment cards, partner cards, RFID chips, app control, and GSM control.
- It charges EVs in DC mode up to 1,000 kW with the same range of payment and control options.
- It can route a defined share of the generated energy to self-consumption.
- You have continuous online visibility of the site status and its utilization.
- It can integrate an additional energy source — for example a CHP unit or a wind turbine — and control its operation.
A turnkey solution, delivered by us
- We design a solution based on your brief — for a fuel station or any other suitable site.
- We prepare full project and technical documentation for the implementation.
- We secure rapid construction and commissioning.
- We help you obtain the necessary permits.
- We register the site in the charger map and in online monitoring.
Economic logic of the operation
How does it work? The figures below are presented as an illustrative example.
- Grid electricity price: approx. 5 CZK / kWh
- AC slow charging (22 kW) sale price: approx. 8 CZK / kWh
- DC fast charging (150–300 kW) sale price: approx. 13 CZK / kWh
Average charge per customer ≈ 50 kWh → that is 50 kWh × 13 CZK = 650 CZK, or 50 kWh × 8 CZK = 400 CZK, minus the grid electricity cost of approx. 5 CZK. The added value is therefore 50 × 8 CZK = 400 CZK, or 50 × 3 CZK = 150 CZK.
Your planned installation of 126 kWp generates approximately 126,000 kWh annually × 5 CZK = 630,000 CZK in value.
Sample model: 2× CARPORT + 1,000 kWh storage + 126 kWp PV
- Chargers: 1× DC fast charger 300 kW with two ports (2 × 150 kW) — 10–40 min charging depending on battery and vehicle; 2× AC charger 22 kW — 3–4 hours charging.
- Charging capacity from PV + 3×100 A grid connection: 26 sessions per day.
- Storage capacity: 1,000 kWh.
- Return on investment depends on grid connection and charging frequency.
- Installed CARPORTs: 87.5 kWp.
- Power plant lifetime: 30 years.
- Battery lifetime until capacity drops to 75 %: 10,000 cycles.

Rainwater drainage via central downpipes. Option to connect collection tanks and use the water for building operation.
Warranty and service
- 5-year warranty on the power plant and chargers.
- 15-year warranty on the panels.
Service
- The power plant is remotely monitored over the internet. The system diagnoses faults and defective components autonomously.
- Our company monitors the plant remotely; in case of a fault, a technician arrives on site within 48 hours with spare parts.
- After the 5-year period, service is provided under a service contract at customary and fair market rates.
Service costs
Annual maintenance and inspection (once a year) costs approximately 1 % of the purchase price.
